Molecular Weight Approximately 41.6 kDa with 6×His-tag on N-terminus and a Cys on C-terminus, a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 373 amino acids. But it migrates with an apparent molecular mass of 46 kDa in SDS-PAGE.

The recombinant Protein L is ideal for purification of polyclonal or monoclonal IgG antibodies. Protein L binds to human, mouse, rat and pig IgG.

Background Recombinant Protein L contains 5 kappa-binding domain. Protein L has the unique ability to bind through kappa light chain interactions without interfering with the antibody’s antigen-binding site.
